Amazon Doubles Influencer Commissions for Four-Day Prime Day Event

Higher payout rates, an extended format, and new tools create fresh earning opportunities for creators this July.

Amazon has confirmed it will double influencer commission rates across several high-performing categories from July 1 through July 20, coinciding with an extended Prime Day event running from July 8 to 11.

According to Amazon’s Influencer Program page, beauty and grooming, business supplies, and power tools now offer commissions of 6% (up from 3%), while jewelry jumps from 4% to 8%. Premium beauty earns creators 12.5%, up from 10%.

A Prime Opportunity for Influencers

For many digital creators, July is already one of the most lucrative months on Amazon. These increased rates are expected to make it even more profitable, especially for those in beauty, fashion, tech, and home categories.

Lonni Smith, an Amazon-focused creator, told ADWEEK that Prime Day represents her peak-earning period. Other influencers are also adjusting their strategy to match the new four-day format.

Fashion and lifestyle creator Frankie Tevares plans to organize her Prime Day content by theme: fashion on day one, home goods on day two, beauty on day three, and a general roundup on day four.

This extended timeline gives creators more room to plan, publish, and refine content without the pressure of a 48-hour window.

Unboxing, Strategy, and Creator Tools

More creators are also building unboxing content into their strategy. Influencer Kellyn McMullan noted that she earns up to 10 times her usual revenue during Prime Day and plans to purchase products early in the event to record unboxing videos before the sale ends.

These shifts align with Amazon’s broader push to support creators through its Creator Connections program, including tools like Affiliate+, a self-serve advertising platform that links brands directly with influencers.

Amazon also continues to offer additional incentives like bounties and gift cards alongside boosted commissions.

Why This Matters for Talent Managers

This year’s Prime Day presents a standout moment for talent managers to activate e-commerce–ready creators across multiple verticals.

The extended format allows more structured campaign planning, while increased commission rates improve ROI potential. For creators with affiliate links and strong buyer trust, July is a moment worth prioritising in the content calendar.
