Former YMU Talent Director Jack Hunter Blair Launches nxt wave: A Talent Agency Built for the Next Generation of Creators

The new agency launches with a roster spanning entertainment, beauty, lifestyle and culture, with a focus on long-term talent development and cultural relevance.

After more than a decade working across the talent, entertainment and creator industries, Jack Hunter Blair has launched nxt wave – a new talent agency designed to champion the next generation of storytellers, creatives and culture-shaping voices.

Speaking on the launch, Jack Hunter Blair said:

After years working across both global and boutique agencies, it felt like the right time to build something that reflects where the industry is heading — not where it’s been. nxt wave is about long-term career building, strategic thinking and championing talent with genuine identity, voice and cultural impact.

Too often, the industry can be short-sighted when it comes to identifying talent, relying purely on social numbers rather than looking at who has true cultural capital, influence and communities that are genuinely invested in them and their careers. We’re interested in people who move culture, spark conversation and have something real to say. We’re building for what’s coming.

— Jack Hunter Blair, Founder, nxt wave

The agency launches with a roster spanning entertainment, beauty, lifestyle, property and culture, including award-winning creator and cultural voice Tiara Skye, DJ, broadcaster, author and cultural icon Fat Tony, beauty creator Slaviana Pav and property personality Kate Brookfield, with further signings set to be announced.

nxt wave will operate across brand partnerships, broadcast, commercial strategy and long-term talent development, representing clients both in the UK and internationally. Its ethos — “built for what’s coming, not what has been” — signals a move away from purely follower-led thinking and towards talent with genuine influence, identity and cultural relevance.

The launch arrives at a time of major evolution across the creator economy, with brands, platforms and broadcasters increasingly prioritising cultural resonance over pure reach. Whether nxt wave’s philosophy becomes a true point of difference or reflects a wider shift already happening across the industry, it speaks to where talent management appears to be heading next.
